Dr. Thomas McCloskey, Ph.D.
Co-founder & Chief Financial Officer
Dr. McCloskey brings to the organization training in both the biological sciences and corporate financial analysis.
He was an NIH postdoctoral fellow at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging where he studied the control of the animal lifecycle (C. elegans) by the molecular genetic composition of the food it eats (E. coli). Before that, Tom received his PhD from the department of MCD Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
As a graduate research fellow, he identified and characterized a set of molecular pathways that prevent cellular suicide during animal development. He received a B.S. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
